Friend Day [Gin/Open]

After enduring yet another day of classes, Yukari had been ready to scoot as soon as they were dismissed. Math was one of her better subjects, but that didn't mean she liked it any better. She had a few minor tasks to do for the school paper, mostly dropping her developed pictures and off and picking up the next thing, and by the time that was done she encountered her buddy Gin in the hallway. Sweet! He must have been free if he was loitering and not in boxing club by now.

"Hey, Gin!" called Yukari as she bounced up to him, grinning. They hadn't done anything together for months, mostly because of schedule issues. But hey, they were still friends, right? "You busy with something? I was about to head out to the shopping district, if you wanted to tag along. Buy you lunch if you do~"

[Gin Seimei]

"What did the disciplinary committee say about shouting and being hyper in the hallway?" Gin lightly karate cops Yukari's hair with a unsurprised look plastered across his face, she was an oddball as well as a sweet girl so Gin didn't mind her incessant sugared up personality nor the way she at times literally drags of Gin. He found her charming but more like a little sister who always needs you when times get tough, not like she isn't strong willed though since she's seen a lot of Gin's harsh training and that alone needs will not to look away.

Gin started to fix Yukari's hair and check his phone for anything that's going on, isn't Sunday or Thursday so Gin's free until later on in the evening. "Sure, might as well as do something today, I have time" Gin walks down the corridor while making his way down towards the school gate, Kanehira school was very big but was clearly quite old since some of the paint and tables shown signs of deterioration.

Gin was by the gate and turned around, he could see Yukari but decided to stop for now as he had no immediate interest to hang around the shopping district so it would be fun to just walk with her over to there instead of just rushing off.

[Kagami Ayasaki]

Kagamin had hurriedly dressed up in the bathroom before leaving the premises. Today was one of those better days where she could get the opportunity to spend some time later to do some work at the Swan Song host club. As a result, Kagamin looked rather disheveled despite wearing smart clothing, her top was half-tucked in her dress pants and her blazer was a little loose on. However she had managed to get the chest-tape down pat, which she considered a victory for the day. Leaving school after getting dressed, Kagamin had been getting some strange looks all around - her black eyepatch was very distinct, she had gained a reputation from her year by being "that girl in the eyepatch who looks like a really hot dude" whenever she was in this getup. Ignoring any catcalls she got from both guys and girls, Kagamin had rushed by the gates, but then had passed by Gin Seimei who Kagami recognized by his distinct height and his colourful hair, a distinct contrast to her own.

Kagamin decided she wasn't in a rush after all and hailed Gin. "Hi. Gin-san" Kagami casually walked over to Gin and said 'hello.' "Are you waiting for somebody?"

[Tetsuya Horokeu]

Finally the day was over. Tetsuya could finally relish in the sweet embrace of after school hours. He wasn't much for clubs, and didn't have any friends, but hey end of the day is end of the day. He wasn't the smartest when it came to school, so he was happy when it was time to leave. He could now focus on the things most important to him like feeding the birds at the park, or tending to his garden. Yeah that's where he really found happiness. He grabbed his belongings and hurried out of the room.

Tetsuya's face was beaming as he left the building. He had finally reached freedom. His smile slowly faded away as he looked towards the school gates. There was a group of students waiting right in front of the gates. This put Tetsuya in immediate distress. He could only make out one of the students, and that didn't make him feel any comfort. He was the captain of the boxing team. And while Tetsuya had a lot of respect for those in martial arts, it didn't make him any less nervous. 

 Oh gods why are they just in front of the gate? Why can't they just leave?


He couldn't just stay here he had things to do. It was decided then. He would walk through them. That was the only option. He gathered what courage he had, and walked towards the group. As he got closer his courage started to waver more and more. But he was already this close he couldn't stop now. This put his mind and body in cognitive dissonance; he knew that his body and nerves didn't want to keep going but he had to. So, to correct the dissonance his body stopped all movement. And you can guess what happens next. Tetsuya fell flat on his face.

He cursed to himself. He was getting really good at tripping over nothing. He opened his eyes and looked up. The group of students were right in front of him. Great just great. This is fine. Everything is fine

And of course, Gin greeted her by messing up her hair. Not that she really cared that much, but still. Annoying, much? Yeah, little sister thing and all, but gosh! She swatted his hand away and made sure her cog hair pin hadn't been knocked out of place, smoothing her hair back down. It was a good thing her jogging would already be messing it up.

"Do you really have to mess up my hair every time we get together? You're gonna make me lose another cool hairpin!" Yukari replied with mock anger. Now if he actually got her pin lost she'd be angry, but-- and then she noticed he was just walking off, right after he said he was interested in hanging out!

Yukari took off at a quick pace, not running-- oh no, not after the last talk with the DC-- to try to catch up. Jerk! By the time she got down and outside he was all the way at the gate. She resolved to punch him in the arm when she caught up.

And then a dude tripped and fell as she was passing by on her way to do so, temporarily stalling her vengeance. Gin was talking to the eyepatch girl anyways, the two probably hadn't even noticed him trip. So Yukari stopped down and offered her thin hand to help him up. "Hey, are you all right? Here, let me help you up. Don't worry, I'm stronger than I look!" she offered confidently, pretty sure she could pull the bigger dude up. It was the thought that counted, right?

[Gin Seimei]

"hm?" Gin turned his head to see a familiar face who's presence always found his prime curiosity, "oh, heyo there Kagami!" With a wide grin as always Gin started to chat with the girl. "Yeah, I'm waiting for a friend of mine so we can head to the shopping district together" While focussing his talk, Gin noticed someone else's presence near his and turned his head enough to see the split second of fear the pink haired man shown when his face high-fived the rocky ground, causing Gin to look unsettled.

The sudden show of Yukari trying to act cool and picking the fella up sort of made Gin laugh at the whole theatrical like it's some play but sighed. Walking over towards the downed man and with his strong arms, pulled him up with his hands on the pink boy's shoulders where Gin just started to brush everything off as the kid stood himself still.

"Geez, people really are quite clumsy huh, Mr Horokeu?" Gin noticed the guy's pink hair and heard his name from other people as he was quite infamous within this school, much like Gin when he as in middle school. Knowing this, Gin just smiled brightly at the youth until seeing some cuts on his face, "Want me to help with those flesh wounds?" Gin starts to pat Yukari's head while he stand beside him, giving a small owch until just laughing it off if the little Yuki punches or jabs Gin in the side for treating her like a little sister again.

Turning his head back at Kagami and gesturing her to join in the conversation might also help, seems that this little sudden group had their differences in personalities as anyone can see, but who'll stop Gin from getting to know others around him?

[Kagami Ayasaki]

Kagami bowed towards Gin politely as he greeted her back, explaining that he was waiting for a friend. "Gotcha." Kagami responded with a smile as about this time two people entered the vicinity, one was a pink-haired man who tripped and fell on his face. Before Kagami could extend a hand towards him, another girl entered the scene, who did what Kagami had intended to do. He was apparently named Horokeu, as Gin greeted him and offered to help him with his wounds. And then began to pat the other girl's head while he stood beside him. Kagami smiled weakly as she saw that these three seemed to get along pretty well. Kagami kept her distance for the most part.

"Are you alright?" Kagami asked the boy who had fallen despite the help he was getting from Gin and the other girl. "You looked like you took a rough tumble."

[Tetsuya Horokeu]

Tetsuya sulked for the immeasurable amount of time he was on the ground. 

Our new nickname should be Timber. Get it cause we fall a lot.

I hate you.

That means you hate yourself. And that's really self deprecating.

He sighed. How could someone argue with themselves, or better, how can your conscious be such a different person? His inner monologue was interrupted by one person trying to help him up, and another literally lifting him off the ground. He stood there motionless and silent, as he was surrounded by his upperclassmen. 

Say thank you

"Th-thank you."

Good boy.


After being dusted off by the boxing captain he finally found his voice. "I'm uh fine, thanks for asking." He stared at the ground dejectedly. Man Hiromi was right, he was great at first impressions.

As Yukari was helping the second-year get back on his feet-- with some unrequested help from Gin-- she recognized him. Horokeu-San had hung out with her and her group of friends before! She was pretty sure he hadn't really enjoyed the time, from his facial expressions at the time, but hey! Good to know he was still around. "Hey, Horokeu-San! Good to see you again," she said cheerfully, giving him a bright smile. Make him feel welcome.

And then Gin patted her head again, which provoked her ire now that the pink haired boy expressed his good health. Yukari responded with a punch to the ribs, hard enough to make an impact but not much worse than that. Physical strength was, sadly, not one of her strong suits. She glared at him pretty sternly, crossing her arms over her chest and letting her bag settle on her shoulder. "What's your deal today?! You said you wanted to hang out and you just took off!" she snapped, quickly regaining her composure over her hair and smoothing it back down with her hands. She'd have to get him in private for petting her like some dog just cause she was literally a foot shorter than him. She offered a hesitant smile to the other two, it wasn't polite to embarrass him in front of his peers like that. That was a job for later.

"Ah, sorry you had to hear that...! I don't think. I've met you yet, Senpai; I'm Yukari Hamada. Gin and I have been friends forever, I get a little carried away sometimes..." she said with a polite bow, then looking between the two new faces in the group. Gin's friend was dressed... Weird. Well, if they were hanging out, more was always more fun... Even if she'd really only intended to spend some time with her best friend. "Hey, Horokeu-San, Senpai, you should come with us. We're headed to the shopping district to kill some time, plus I heard my favorite shop just got in some new hats and pins. If you wanna come, you're welcome to! The more the merrier when it comes to friends, y'know?"

[Gin Seimei]

"Good that you seem fine, you must be tougher then most!" Gin broaden his smile, slowly his gaze fell from Tetsuya to Yukari then Kagami. His mind wondered what happened to her eye but dismissed the thought almost instantly, it could kill to have that kind of curiosity for sure.

After being jabbed by his little friend he treated like a little sister, Gin just laughed again, feeling nothing by her punches but instead standing with a precarious, smiling face by the end of it. "Well I waited didn't I, Yuki?" he said while taking a step backwards, Gin didn't mind the banter he had with Yukari but was obviously trying to give her some space. He can't be like this all of the time with her when he wants to, sometimes Gin just needs to be a normal friend to a girl who's at times just too hyper for even her own age.

Agreeing with her, Gin nods his head and retorts, "Yeah come along, Yukari has little to no fashion sense like me so it'll be interesting what others can pick for us!" trying to press her buttons however was an obvious task for Gin to do, he found it fun. Focussing his words to both fellow students but looking more to Kagami's direction, Gin wanted a possible "get to know" session with her while this goes onward.

[Kagami Ayasaki]

Kagami blinked with her good eye upon the chirpy girl calling her Senpai, Kagami bowed politely in response as Yukari introduced herself as such. Apparently she and Gin had been friends for pretty much ever, and sometimes she'd get carried away. "My name is Kagami Ayasaki," Kagami introduced herself speaking politely for herself. "I was on my way to kill some time before going to work for my late night shift, so I don't mind tagging along if you'd have me." Kagami continued, smiling.

Kagami looked at what she was wearing. "Don't mind this. It's my work uniform. Don't... ask." Kagami said awkwardly.

[Tetsuya Horokeu]

Tetsuya stood there glossy eyed. First he trips now he's being invited to hang out with a group of mostly strangers. Well, he knew of them, kind of, but he didn't know them. He was confused. Why do things like this happen to him? He wasn't  brave enough to say no, but he was barely able to say yes. His mind was stuck in a constant struggle to answer.

Gods just go with 'em. Maybe you'll finally make some friends. 

"I-i guess I can go," he managed to choke out. He could only imagine how the afternoon was going to play out. Well one thing was for certain, it wasn't going to be a boring afternoon.

Gin really was a toad sometimes. He was lucky they'd been friends forever. But! She had introductions to get to first, Ayasaki-Senpai had given her introduction. ”It's good to meet you, Senpai! You're more than welcome to come with us. Even if you're dressed kind of fancy for just wandering my favorite store,” She replied, smiling brightly. It was real fancy, but apparently it was for work. She must have been one of those convention workers, Yukari figured. Tetsuya on the other hand just looked terrified. Gosh, did she really put him on the spot that bad? All she did was ask if he wanted to tag along...

Hey, don't stress if you don't wanna go Horokeu-San, I just thought I'd offer. And don't listen to Gin; he may not have a fashion sense, but I'm on top of my game if my paycheck'll keep up,” She replied with a little laugh, shooting daggers at Gin with her eyes. ”And he should cut it out if he wants me to buy him lunch like I said. So... Come if you're coming, don't if you're not!” And with that Yukari started out the gate, she wanted to get to the shop in time to really take a good look at the new stuff. Her old hats had fallen out of favor, she needed a new one! And a couple pins to go in to the visor wouldn't hurt either... And maybe a new lanyard for her camera. ”So, Ayasaki-Senpai, where'd you get your outfit from? I can't say I've seen it in any of the local shops. It's kinda weirdly formal, but it's cute.

[Gin Seimei]

Looks like some kind of host club outfit, Gin was about to blurt out randomly but decided against it with minimal effort. He didn't know what kind of job Kagami went to but it would be a hassle for her to be put onto a spot like that from an inconsiderate girl like Yuki, Gin sighed as a response and turned towards the outside since he just wanted to go shopping now so he can avoid the problems about the inverse.

"We shouldn't try and decipher something that's not meant to be tampered with, Yukari~" Gin said with a sly grin across his fox-like face, he loved to tease but trying to tease a girl who was uncomfortable by these kinds of reactions is certainly not good. With a spring in his step, Gin gestured for the three to come along, without falling this time, "Hey we better get going or the shops close, you remember that your favorite store will close early today, right Yukari?" Gin knew the opening and closing times of every store that pickled her fancy, from the run-down takoyaki market shop that was run by old man Yakamura to the high class clothing store "Hazel" that was run by a giant Conglomerate called the "Ginsei corp", the buggers run just about everything here...it's almost suspicious.

Thanks god Gin's family has nothing to do with those creeps and would like to stay that way, the way the receptionist just smiles as well as of how clean the place is makes the whole scenario a little crazy. Never mind that, how's everyone keeping up with Gin so far? Hope no one kissed the ground just yet...

[Kagami Ayasaki]

The girl Yukari asked Kagami where she got the outfit from. "A store that my boss pointed me out to. They sell bespoke amongst other things there," Kagami explained. "It's important that I look smart and attractive for work." Kagami finally finished, but wasn't comfortable with saying much more than that for the meantime. Gin seemed to be making his way rather impatiently and quickly, eager to point out that Yukari's favourite store was closing early today. Kagami had been following along easily enough, she wasn't too fast but wasn't too much of a slowpoke either.

"Anyways, my line of work isn't that important to talk about"
