“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?”

GENERAL
1. Respect every member and every guest on this site. If you have a bone to pick with someone, either do it privately, or keep it to yourself. You don't have to be best friends with everyone, but you should be polite and well-mannered regardless. There is a zero-tolerance policy for disrespect, and those who cannot seem to find it in them to be civil will be banned.
2. As per Proboards Terms of Service, nothing posted on this site can exceed a content rating of PG-13. So if you're planning on roleplaying graphic scenes or sending links to explicit content to someone else via private message, find somewhere else to do it. We do not want to get taken offline, so this rule will be enforced fairly strictly.
3. Please try your best to keep real-life drama of the site. If you're having a bad day and are likely to lash out and generally be unpleasant to everyone around you, then it might be a good idea to just stay offline for the day. If you really need someone to talk to and there's no one there for you in real-life, or you'd rather talk to someone on the forum, then talk to them through a private message. Don't broadcast your life story through the shoutbox or in the OOC boards; it's not safe, and completely random strangers will have access to whatever information you post.
4. If you'll be gone for more than a week or so, please let us know by posting a message in the "Absences and Departures" board. You don't have to give any reasons for leaving, although an estimation of how long you'll be gone would be nice.
5. Regarding spoilers for the main games: Most of us know the games so spoilers are allowed unless someone asks you not to. However, once Persona 5 comes out, please don't spoil that.
CHARACTERS
1. Persona: Through the Looking Glass operates on an account-per-character basis, so every time you go to make a new character please make a new account on the forum for them. You can have as many characters as you would like, although if you start to lose track of them all you will be asked to drop a few.
2. Face claims are to be animanga only; no real-life people, please. You can also draw your character if you'd like.
3. If you post an unfinished character application, you will have two weeks to complete it before the staff move it to the archives. If you come back and need it out, just contact a member of staff and we'll put it back for you.
4. If you would like to edit the profile of an already-approved character, just drop a staff member a little note before doing so.
5. Only original characters will be accepted; no canon characters from either Persona or other series will be approved.
ROLEPLAYING
1. There is no word-count, but please try to match your partner's reply in length. Nothing hurts more than seeing a two-sentence response to your four-paragraph starter.
2. Please try to use proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar when posting. You aren't expected to be perfect by any means, but you do need to put some effort into your work.
3. No god-modding, power-playing, meta-gaming and all that stuff. It ruins the experience for everyone, so just don't do it.
4. The site runs on fluid time, meaning that your threads can happen whenever you want (just don't stick a date on them, because that'll mess up the timelines of the person/people you're roleplaying with). However, it is important that you try to keep your threads in some kind of an order because at the end of each year (on site time), you will be expected to update your character's profile with what happened in those threads.
