If she was going to be strong enough to protect her loved ones, she was going to at least try to practice her own swordplay as she had a lot more rigorous training to do before she could get better with being an expert swordsman. That was probably why she would ask her older brother to spar with her as he was one of the most excellent swordsmen when it came to being a fencing master of his craft. Her older sister, however, was more interested with beauty products than actual fighting though she might have been a good combatant if she ever wanted to participate in a war or something. As they walked outside of their opulent home, Xander would teach his little sister more on the basic forms of fencing though his teachings might have bored anyone who even dared to take his instruction to heart. Thankfully the guards wouldn't have to be bothered by their training session though it might be a problem if someone happened to call the police department because of an alleged duel or something. “Your form was excellent, but you still have much to learn. Let us begin sparring, little sister. I will go easy on you just this once.” She would nod as their fencing foils clashed with one another which they couldn't care less if somebody decided to call the cops if someone did get hurt. Jonathon hadn't planned for this. He'd chased some shadows into a rift to get someone back. He wound up chasing them around the Inverse for longer than expected and he got lost. The rift he fell out of landed somewhere familiar at least. Granted, it was within walking distance of Isolde's family's home. He staggered towards the fence and heard the two guards start to yell at him for being there. He just made his way as far as his weary legs could take him before he collapsed at the gate from exhaustion.

Apparently she was so immersed into her training that she didn't notice an audible thud on the ground near the fence and she would ask her brother if they could stop the sparring session for a moment. As she went near the fence that had always protected her home from thieves and whatnot, she gasped in horror at the sight of Jonathon's (hopefully) unconscious body. A guard that was on patrol opened the front gate and that she hoped that Jonathon wasn't in any particular danger from any injuries that he might have sustained. "Let's carry him into the house, brother. It looks like he is out cold..." Xander nodded as he carried Jonathon to where there was a nearby couch inside the living room. As long as he didn't have any serious injuries, he was going to be just fine, but she had to make sure he was really okay. Fortunately, her father wouldn't be home until he would be done with whatever diplomatic matters he had to settle with. With the recent odd rifts coming up, it was no surprise that he may have chased some Shadow who would have made off with another innocent human. Jonathon had no idea what was happening around him. All he could see was his shadow standing in front of him in his mind. "What do you want? Why don't you go away?" Jonathon said to his shadow, his voice a mix of irritation and panic. He was clearly trapped in his own mind right now, the shadow just chuckled, a yellow glow surrounding it.
"Isn't it obvious? You may have accepted I am a part of me. However, you never tried to overcome me" The shadow scoffed, taking a step towards Jonathon. "And now you're in a weakened state, which is plenty of opportunity for me to try for control of you. It'll be interesting to be out of the shadow world." The shadow reached out and put a hand on Jonathon's chest.
"No..." He responded, resisting the push from the shadow and grabbing its arm, forcing it off of him. "I...I won't let you" The shadow just laughed.
"Looks like you do have a little fight in you. It's a shame you're starting to wake up before we can continue our little scuffle. Say hi to Isolde for me." And as the shadow faded, Jonathon opened his eyes finding himself in a lavish room he didn't recognize. He started to sit up and look around to figure out where he was.

Once she would hear Jonathon waking up tin find himself in a lavish room that he didn't recognize, she would give him a hug which she was very worried about what made him collapse like that. "What happened to you? When I saw you collapsed like that, I...I was so worried..." She was quivering with fear as she said those words though nobody could actually blame her reaction. After all, if one of her family members had end up collapsed behind the gate like that, she would have scolded them for being really reckless on top of trying to save the world without anyone to back them up. She would probably be thankful that nobody else would be listening in to someone that would be talking about those Shadows or another world that they just didn't know about. Still, she couldn't but wonder why he would go to absolute lengths just to try rescuing an innocent civilian where they could be dead already. Needless to say, he was probably going to have a lot of explaining to do regrading the incident where he ended up collapsing near the gate of her opulent household. "Isolde? Hey...Sorry about that...You have a rift behind your house by the way." He started to sit up but a sharp pain in his side stopped him. "Ow, ow ow ow. Nope, not sitting up yet." He laid back down with a grimace. "I'm fine, really. I chased a shadow through a rift and got lost. They dropped the human pretty quick and they went back. I got ballsy I guess, thought I could catch them. It didn't work." He smiled at her. "I'm fine. Really, just need a little rest, and maybe some aspirin or something."

She was relieved to hear that he was at least doing okay and that he explained about chasing a Shadow who was going to kill some innocent civilian until he interfered with it. "I see… Still, this rift may prove to be troublesome if somebody were to fall in again.” Soon, there may be more missing people reports than the police could handle themselves, but that was what the detectives in the police department are for anyway. Even if they couldn't solve the case themselves, it was up to them to solve the mystery that even the city’s own detectives couldn't do in their investigation. It was unfortunate that Jonathon couldn't stand as he needed a bit more rest to fully recover and aspirin was probably just the medicine that he would need for a bit of recovery. "Oh wait here. I have some aspirin you can take.” She would leave the living room for a moment to grab a bottle of aspirin and filled a cup with water before taking both items back to where he sat on the couch. She would be concerned that this kind of rash behavior could get killed one day, so she didn’t want to lose the one person she cared about the most. “Please do not do anything rash. "The rift behind your house is pretty secluded. The inverse side was a rather dense forest but here it's just a little crop of trees and shrubs." Jonathon said, taking the cup and taking the medicine. "The only worry for that one is that shadows might attack you here if they come through that one. As for the one I went in through, it was one I've used before." He set the cup down and let out a bit of a grunt as he adjusted himself on the catch. "As for me, I promise I'll be safer from now on. No chasing shadows after they drop humans from now on." He could tell she was still concerned so he reached out and took her hand. "Hey, I'm ok. Really. A few bruises never stopped anyone before. I'll be back on my feet in no time." He said, kissing the back of her hand.

“I am glad you are really okay. It pains me to see that you do rash decisions…” More or less, she felt better knowing that he would not go after any Shadows that managed to make off with the human civilians though the rift behind her home was one of great concern since Shadows would most likely attempt to murder her family. She didn't want her family to be harmed like that, so she had to get stronger for the sake of her family’s own safety. She didn’t want anyone in this city to be harmed by the Shadows and it was her duty as a royal to protect the city’s citizens from the monsters that lurk within the Inverse World. It was always her own sense of duty that overrode what really mattered which it could probably lead her down to a darker road. “If Shadows come out of the rift behind my home, I will certainly never let them lay their claws on my family. I will protect them with my life.” It sounded like she probably needed to close that rift before some Shadows would come and attack them while they were vulnerable. "Sorry to worry you. I thought I could catch him, they usually aren't that fast." He said, finally able to sit up some. "I promise it won't happen again." He looked her in the eyes and smiled. "I'm serious, no more crazy heroics for me. I'll get the job done and get out before something catches up to me." He paused, feeling his shadow scoff in his mind. "As for the rift behind your house, there was almost no shadow activity around it. There were a few big guys outside the trees but once I got inside I couldn't find anything besides that. Hopefully you won'y have anything to worry about from it. I'll help you though, keep your family safe that is."

The rift behind her home thankfully had no Shadow activity as noted by Jonathon though she still had to be wary of any attacks that could leave her family vulnerable to them. I see. There would be nothing to worry about if there was no present Shadow activity, but I still must be wary of Shadows coming through the rift.” There was no telling whether the Shadows would attack her family, but she had to protect them to the best of her ability even if she was still getting used to having a Persona. She didn’t really know the mysterious woman that was her apparent Persona, but sometime she’ll probably make note of the woman’s name. She knew of the legendary sword that the woman carried, so perhaps the woman’s identity could be the legendary hero Siegfried. The question remained that this legendary hero was a woman and not a man though gender probably didn’t really apply here anyway. “Oh before you assume that I am a helpless princess, I happen to know swordplay. In fact, I was doing a sparring session with my brother. He says I still have a lot to learn though.” She would chuckle as she remembered that her brother would always say that she still had a lot to learn when it came to mastering swordplay. "I wasn't implying that you were Isolde. I was just saying that I'm gonna be there for you. I know you're capable, probably more than me, but I just don't know what I'd do if a shadow got to you, especially if I could have helped..." He stopped and sighed. "Sorry, I should probably go...I don't want your family to get up and arms about the stranger that's staring longingly at their daughter on the couch." He braced himself and tried to stand and his legs gave out under him, leaving him in a heap on the floor. "Ow...Nope...legs aren't working yet..."

Jonathon would try to leave as he didn’t want her parents to see him stare at her so longingly on the couch which they would interpret it as someone who had a relationship with their own daughter. Unfortunately, his legs were not cooperating with him and he collapsed again in a heap which basically told her that he wasn't completely healed yet. “Oh, it looks like your legs are still not completely healed yet. It’s okay, my father and mother would not be home soon. They have diplomatic matters to attend to.” Of course, she probably needed to have an explanation ready if her parents ever come home early from their diplomatic meetings which for some reason, they always were busy with them. She didn't want her father kicking him out of the house for having a relationship with her and yet, she was probably afraid that he’ll disown her if he did find out about it. “I hope someday, you can visit our country. It is quite a lovely place to live in despite the countless wars that it has suffered from.” She would smile as she said so though one would have to be curious of the wars that it has suffered. "I guess so." Jonathon said, pulling himself back up onto the couch. "Sorry about that, guess I should just take it easy for a while longer." He went quiet for a second. "What are they like, your parents that is? I mean, you told me a bit about your father but what about your mother? Why don't you tell me a bit about her while we wait." When she mentioned showing him her home he smiled. "I'd like that, Nohr seems like a nice place and I'd love to see your home. Maybe I could take you back to America someday too." He said, leaning over and kissing her. "Once we save the world and all."

He did want to know more about her mother which she would be happy to tell him what was her mother like. “Well…my mother was born as a British socialite, so naturally she would be very well-mannered in the upper class society. Her family had ties to nobility, so she acted like a very prim and proper lady. At the time when my mother met my father, they went to an academy and they hung out for a while before they fell in love.” She would pause to take a much needed breath before she continued. “I remember my mother told me that my father was a handsome young man in his youth and that he always treated her with respect just like a real prince would.” Her own mother was very happy with marrying the man that she loved almost as if they were probably destined to be together from the start. Of course, Jonathon would be happy to visit her home as well as taking her to America someday when he would probably have enough money. Her lips would meet with his as they kissed once more which she would hope that her parents wouldn't see it. “Of course, the kingdom of Nohr has its own legends as well which they described the legendary rapier, Grimhilde. It is the national treasure of our country and its importance is well-known with the local denizens of the country.” She probably felt comfortable with telling Jonathon about the culture of her country though it might have come off as a bit strange to a foreigner. tag: Jonathon McDowell ▪ words: 252 ▪ ooc: None.
