Appearance He's a tall and gangly guy, his arms seem like they'd be too long on him if it weren't for the fact that he was over six feet tall. His hair is a tousled mess of brown curls that share a color with his eyes. His glasses, while carrying a very weak prescription, are a necessary evil that he is always seen wearing, even though there's a few dents and scratches in them because he refuses to have them replaced. He likes to keep his clothes baggy and disheveled and usually consists of a wrinkled shirt and pants. He has a few faint scars on his arms and legs from childhood injuries sustained playing in the woods but nothing too serious.

Jonathon's a fairly quiet person, usually he's off to the side, watching the world go be quietly and he's ok with that. Most people won't even notice he's there, and he's ok with that, being alone with his thoughts. Granted, sometimes that isn't the best case scenario for him. His thoughts often will run out of control and find dark rabbit holes to go down. Often time his mind is racked with thoughts of self doubt and worry about things he can't control, and he can't stop it. The only thing he can do is to find ways to distract his mind with something. That's why he likes to watch people, he comes up with back stories for them,thinks about their life so he doesn't have to think about his own. He's also really bad about opening up and talking to people because of that, he's so used to not interacting that his interaction skills are pretty terrible. When forced to interact, he makes his best attempts but it's still a challenge for him.
History Jonathon didn't start in Japan, his family was forced to move there a few years into his life due to his father's job. The company needed someone skilled to help run one of their out sourced location, so they went. He grew up in Japan and acclimated to the language and culture rather well, although some words still trouble him. He managed to make it through primary school without much excitement and it wasn't until the summer before college that things got interesting. A few of his friends decided to have one last time together, a trip into part of the city that had been hit by the disappearances, maybe they could find something cool. Most of them were skeptical at best and thought it'd just be good fun, one of them even brought a cheap bottle of booze. None of them planned on actually vanishing, especially Jonathon. He found a rift though, more like stumbled across it, and it sucked him in, dropping him on some other earth. It was torturous, especially when he met the other Jonathon. The shadow knew everything about Jonathon and used that to torture the boy, remind him of anytime he thought he'd fail in life, make him think he was worthless. The hardest part of it all, was Jonathon knew that this was a part of him, this doubt was something he knew was part of him. He accepted that and rather than the shadow striking him or worse, it laughed. A full, hearty laugh before glowing and taking on the form of a large dragon. The dragon spoke into Jonathon's mind, explaining that it was a Persona and that Jonathon could now control it, and that he was part of something much bigger now, and then things went black.
When he came too, Jonathon was in an alley, he made his way back to his friends who claimed that no time had passed since he left and looked at him like he was crazy. When he tried to summon the dragon he could do so with ease but none of his friends saw it and they laughed, so he kept the Persona a secret. The way Seth explained it though, Jonathon wasn't the only one like him, there are more out there, somewhere. He just has to find them.
