Appearance
Chikabane Chiyo is a young woman at the age of 17. She is also rather short in stature and stands at a height of 5' 3". With purple eyes and purple hair to match, Chiyo has something of a young look about her at least partially due to her short stature and because of her flat chest. Her hair is also about shoulder length, sometimes a little more or a little less. As for clothing, Chiyo is commonly wearing pretty average clothes actually, not really caring for fashion or other such things. But occasionally she will indulge herself on nice looking things. She's actually a bit of a sucker for clothing with fur lining due to getting cold easily.
Personality
Likes: Video Games, Anime, Manga, Tea, Women, Maids, Electronics, Internet, Cosplay, Writing, Reading Books, & Her Family (Especially Kayo.)
Dislikes: Repressing herself, Conforming to societal norms, Treating everything dead serious, & Hardasses
Hobbies: Playing video games and other electronics related things, as well as reading any novel that she can get her hands on. She also indulges in occasional cosplay. Finally, Chiyo always has time to indulge her little sisters in whatever they want to do.
Goals: "Life is choices, let's get living!"
Chikabane Chiyo is perhaps one of the oddest individuals you could currently find within the school walls of Kanehira High. A self-admitted and blatant otaku, she has a penchant for all things involving video games and electronics, as well as novels. She also has a very clear liking of other girls and doesn't care what anyone thinks of it, even going so far as to say she thinks society is so strict and boring. In this regard, Chiyo can actually be quite abrasive and has more often than not ended being referred to in derogatory terms because of it. Yet, perhaps oddly she is a social sort of person. Chiyo quite enjoys meeting new people and making friends out of her new acquaintances. Even if another person doesn't share her usual interests, she'll generally try to find something that they can both get along with and talk about. Chiyo also has quite the... active imagination. A bit prone to delusions at times, she is an avid day dreamer and occasionally seems to hear things that no one else does.
Of note, Chiyo is exceptionally more happy and content around her family than she is around other people, even friends. She is respectful of her parents, who have proven to be accepting of their daughter's more "eccentric" behaviors. And she is very affectionate towards her twin little sisters, always indulging and perhaps even spoiling them when their parents don't. As such, when someone sees Chiyo with her family, they might mistake her for someone who just looks completely identical.
History
Most of Chikabane Chiyo's life has been pretty standard and boring, truth be told. Chiyo is a simple city girl raised by loving parents who also has a pair of little sisters in elementary school. She even had childhood friends and other sorts of things. If there's any real notable part of her history before a certain incident involving a rift into another realm of existence and an encounter with a certain golden-eyed jerk, then it would probably be her habits. Having played video games ever since she was a small child and likewise having been very into reading books since she was little, these two things would become key aspects in her life. Chiyo would develop into an "otaku" over both electronics and books, being obsessed with both as she grew up. So perhaps that is why she has adjusted to the circumstances that exist in the modern day of Kanehira.
It was a rainy day when everything had turned odd for the girl known as Chikabane Chiyo. A rainy day in which she was walking home from school to her house, an umbrella in hand. She had almost missed the tear in the fabric of reality. Almost walked past it without even noticing it was there, crazy to say. A small tear, barely wide enough for a person and small, almost like her. Positioned in an alley way, it seemed as dark as the rest of that dreary day. But... There was something inside of it that looked off. And that would be the rather obvious signs of ruin and decay, along with some overgrown plants. Now what was up with that? Why... It was just like something out of a video game. And that appealed to her curiosity on a rather unique level. The savvy born of a gamer would suggest to her that she should turn and run. But that irksome curiosity caused her to take a step inside instead.
Misty and cold, it was far from the dreary raining of the world that was now at her back. She took a few steps forward, looking around at the signs of devastation while whistling. Deciding to indulge her curiosity even more, Chiyo set about looking for clues for where she was. It was only after she found a barely legible newspaper that the pieces fit together as she had already begun to suspect. Wherever she was, it was a destroyed Kanehira that had stood before her. A call of her name caught Chiyo's attention from the newspaper and after lifting her head, she would see the one that had called to her. None other than herself. With eyes of gold and a malevolent aura of dark violet, she began to approach Chiyo. And then got socked in the face. The Shadow erupted in anger as it had not even gotten in a word edgewise before the sudden attack. But as it called out a curse, the human girl punched it in the face again. This would continue several more times, the Shadow roaring out it's fury at not being able to talk while Chiyo snapped back witty replies that played upon her "savvy" of seeing such things in games. The Shadow called her delusional, but she replied that she was all too real, unlike it. At last the Shadow could take no more and cried out two words, "ACCEPT ME!" And in reply, Chiyo said one word, "OKAY!" And so the rather unorthodox fight had come to an end with the Shadow completely fed up with the real girl's crap and a voice calling out in Chiyo's head.
Before the otaku girl appeared a figure clad in shoddy armor riding a mare that looked like it was a step away from the grave and then it introduced itself as none other than the famous fictional character, Don Quixote. It called itself a guardian, a "mask" for her protection. And then Chiyo knew exactly what was going on. She was now truly the protagonist of a real life video game. But she first needed to regroup and find proper party members before she really got rolling.

Notes
-Refers to her Persona as the "manifestation of the literal voice in my head". Occasionally she calls it a "Stand" or a "Guardian" as well, never actually calling it a Persona.
-Gets along ridiculously well with her Persona, perhaps because of the fitting shared characteristics in just who it is.
-Is currently convinced that she's a "protagonist" in a "real life video game" given the bizarre circumstances of the whole thing.
-Uses the online alias of "Cobalt Heart" now and then.
-Plans to attend HAL College of Technology & Design for her intended career in game design and programming.
-Though she knows how she should feel about it, Chiyo has a romantic crush upon her older sister Kayo. Something that Kayo has reciprocated.
