"You're mother sounds like a wonderful woman, and she has a wonderful daughter." Jonathon said, smiling at her and wiggling his toes a bit as a test. "Progress is being made! I'll be back on my feet in no time!" He said, excited for his recovery. "I'll treat you with the same respect, and hopefully you find my handsome." He then listened attentively as she explained the legend of Grimhilde. "Well...where is it, the rapier? I know it's a national treasure, but from what I know about legendary weapons, they're usually something useful. If there's already mentions of things that could be shadows in your legends, maybe that rapier will help us fight them. Just a thought."

Upon hearing that Jonathon said that her mother is a very wonderful woman and that she did have a wonderful daughter, she would smile at him. “I am sure you are very handsome to me. Your own mother must be a very wonderful woman for raising such a nice young man.” She had to think about where the legendary rapier must be, but its location might be a secret only known to the members of the royal family. It certainly seemed like the legendary rapier might help them defeat the Shadows described in the legend. Perhaps the rapier that she had gotten as a gift from her father which it could be the very same rapier described in the legend. She wouldn't be sure unless she could test out its power, but it could be the same rapier that was used by the unknown descendant. “I remember that a rapier with the same name was given to me by my father. Perhaps it might be the same one described in the legend.” It seemed like the rapier that was given to her certainly would be the one from the legend, but she wouldn't know for sure unless it had retained its divine power. She would add further to the topic at hand. “The inscription engraved in Latin translates to may the blood it sheds cause the fires of war.” That inscription seemed to very ominous considering that there had been bloody wars in the past though she wouldn't be worried. tag: Jonathon McDowell ▪ words: 252 ▪ ooc: None.

"Aw, thanks Isolde." He said, kissing her on the cheek and smiling. "She did always say I got my good lucks from her too." He swung his legs around slowly and moved to sit up, wincing a bit but the pain returned to a dull throb quickly. "I'm feeling better, that's good." He listened as she continued to explain the rapier. "Well if he has it, maybe your father brought it here with him. It's just a hunch but what if it's around here. As for the name, that is a rather interesting name choice. Shadows don't bleed though, so I guess it won't start a war."

“It may be around here, yes. The rapier itself has always chosen who would be worthy of wielding its power through my own ancestors or anyone that has our royal blood.” She would explain further as she was greeted by a kiss on the cheek from her boyfriend. It was always her father’s ancestry that made the royal children have the ability to wield the legendary rapier though its true power was probably not unlocked yet to its full potential. Perhaps she might have to research further on the subject, but at least Jonathon would be willing to help her find it in order to defeat the Shadows that lurked within the Inverse World. The legend probably described some way to awaken its true power though she wasn’t sure how to do it at this rate. Ancient manuscripts always had some vague way of doing something to awaken some kind of dormant power inside some holy weapon or something. Jonathon commented that Shadows don’t bleed since it wouldn’t start a war, but the meaning was far darker than the Shadow’s lack of bleeding. “The meaning was very much darker than that…” She would turn away from him with a pained look before continuing. “Some of our ancestors from the ancient past were warmongering kings and that they made the kingdom a militaristic nation. As a result of a fierce war, many lives were lost and that the people were terrified that these warmongering kings will cause more lives to be lost. "That's the past though. Everything that Grimhilde did was by men with a thirst for war. You aren't them though, you're not a war monger." Jonathon said, putting a hand on her arm. "You can use it for good. You can use it to save people. With it you can fight shadows and keep the people of this world safe from whatever comes through the rifts. In the past it may have been a weapon for making war and slaughter. Now though, you can use it to keep the people of this world safe." He smiled at her. "If you don't want to find it, I won't make you, but it's not the sword that made those people war mongers, it was their actions and decisions."

She would feel a little better as Jonathon reassured her that Grimhilde could still be used for good rather than using it for evil designs. Perhaps you are right. The rapier’s use for bloodshed should not affect the present, so I’d use it to save the people of this world and this country.” For a while, she felt ever so determined to save the innocent civilians from the dangers of the Inverse World, but there was the present feeling of dread. However she had to cast those feelings of dread away as she never wanted to feel so much sorrow for what happened in the past. She would give Jonathon a kiss on the cheek as thanks for the consolation though they would still need to find the legendary weapon used to slay the dark beings described in the manuscripts. Although she was curious about his own parents as well as she would have to ask him about his mother and father and what they were like. “I am certain that I would like to find it, but I do like to know what were your mother and father like.” She knew that his father had left the family, but she did want to know his personality and how he treated his son. "Exactly. You'll use it to be a hero." He said, his cheeks going a bit red when she kissed him. "As for my parents, compared to yours they're relatively mundane. Dad's so engrossed in whatever his work is that he's almost never around. He uprooted our entirely family and moved us here because of it, and now we basically never see him." He stopped for a second and sighed at the though of his father. "Mom's nicer, she's around a lot more, since I went to university she's been getting some jobs around town, house work type stuff for the neighbors. It's not the most pleasant jobs but it gets her some money and gets her out of the house so she's not alone all the time."

Apparently his own father didn't have any time for him since the man was engrossed with his own work which she found it quite surprising that he didn't actually spend time with his own son. “I am appalled that your father does not spend time with you. Does he not care about his own family?” Jonathon’s mother was far nicer and that she actually supported Jonathon as he was currently in college. It was apparent that she would have to meet with his mother and hopefully she would be approving of her too, that much is for certain. “I can relate with my own father not being able to spend time with me as his mental health has prevented him from doing so. I am not always home alone as my butler is always there to take care of me.” She always remembered that her butler always cared for her whenever her father couldn't spend time with her though her mother would always have time to play with her as a child. She had been wondering if the kingdom would go into turmoil though she had a right to be worried since there was past wars. Civil unrest was something that her brother had to deal with once he became king and that she would have to help him with it no matter what. "He cares more about his work, that's all there is to it." Jonathon said, pressing his feet against the floor to see if his legs would hold him yet. "He sometimes just doesn't come home at all. Most years he leaves a birthday card for mom and I, if he remembers to do so." He managed to push himself up to stand, keeping a hand on the couch for support. "I've accepted it. At least you have a butler to help out, I never had one of those. Mom and I just fended for ourselves." He took a cautious step away from the couch, it was a bit shaky but he made it. "Looks like I'm on my feet again...Should I go before anyone else gets here? "

His father would send him birthday cards which she would have thought that would be a lazy way of showing his appreciation for his son’s birthday. Then again, Jonathon’s father was a workaholic so he never set aside some time to spend with his family unlike her two other siblings who always set aside some time to spend some quality time with their youngest sister for that matter. “I see… At the very least, your mother was the most supportive during your father’s absence. One day, I shall make plans to meet with your mother.” Maybe someday, she could probably meet with his father though he would probably be too busy to meet with the girlfriend of his son anyway unless he had the time to. Perhaps Jonathon could meet with her parents unless her father would try to kick him out for dating his daughter though he would never show hostility unless Jonathon truly intended to harm her. Nonetheless, Jonathon said that he should probably go before someone else sees him which it would be the best course of action should her parents come home and find a boy with their daughter on the couch. “I won’t stop you if you have to go. "Yeah, I'm sure she'd like to meet you. Her and I haven't gotten the chance to get together recently." Jonathon said, shrugging a little. "Between me being busy with school and her being busy with work, we just haven't had the chance. She'll like you though." Jonathon said, blushing a bit when she kissed his cheek. "Yeah, I guess most of it was just being worn out by being in The Inverse for so long. I'm still not one hundred percent, but I can at least walk." He looked into her eyes for a second, blush intensifying. "Oh to hell with it." He said before putting his hands on the sides of her face and pulling her in for a long kiss.

She would feel her lips being kissed as she closed her eyes despite his kiss being a bit spontaneous than usual. She could actually feel the affection from that kiss though he probably wanted to give her one final kiss before they would part ways unfortunately. His mother would love to meet with her sometime too, so she’ll have to prepare for that meeting when the time would come. After that long kiss, she would break away and that she did enjoy being showered with affection from her boyfriend which she didn’t care if he was a poor guy or not, his personality us what mattered to her. “I really enjoyed that kiss, love. Thank you.” She would probably look forward to having more dates with him in the future though she wasn’t sure if her father would ever want to meet with her boyfriend. “Needless to say, I am really looking forward to having you take me out another time.” She would smile at him with affection which it was made clear that she loved him for his respectful behavior towards her. "Yeah..." Jonathon said, surprised at himself and blushing intensely. "I...I really liked that too." He said before giving her another quick kiss. "I really should get going though...imagine what your siblings would do if they caught us like this." He chuckled, his hands still on her arms. "Yeah, so am I. It'll be really nice to spend time with you again soon. Just, call me or something if we don't just bump into each other again." He chuckled at that, still holding her. "I'll be going...any second now..."

"D'awww...look at how romantic you are. If I wasn't stuck in your head I'd be sick right now" His shadow piped in.

He would give her a quick kiss before saying that he should leave before her siblings would see them together and that would be a bit embarrassing to say the least. “I will see you later then. Take care, love.” She would smile at her boyfriend as she said so though he was probably afraid that her parents would catch them like this as well. There was nothing to worry about though as they wouldn’t be home until the diplomatic duties were at least finished on their end, but sometimes her parents would get home early than usual. She wanted to meet his father if he was not so busy, but it was probably best not to meet with his father until his father would get out of whatever stress he had during his job. It was possible that his father’s job may be more stressful than her own father’s job as the king of their country though being a ruler had more burden as well. “I will let you know if I find the legendary sword and if the legend holds true about its true power being dormant after years of use.” Though it was unknown what kind of method would be used to unlock the divine power used by the legendary prince, but one thing was certain that she would have to research further on the subject. tag: Jonathon McDowell ▪ words: 252 ▪ ooc: None.

"You take care too. Don't hesitate to call if you need anything. Really, I don't want you to get yourself hurt trying to find the Grimhilde." Jonathon said, smiling as he left. He made his way out of the home and passed the guard, heading down into the streets. He made it a good ways away before he felt a stabbing pain in his head. "What...No... Get...out..." He said, clutching his head as he felt the shadow vying for control. "I won't...You will...I...Am...You" He let out a gasp, his eyes flashing bright yellow for a moment before they slowly faded back to their usual color, leaning against a tree. "That...That was bad..." He said before he started heading back to campus and his room.
