Run for Your Life [Open]

[Gin Seimei]

With some moving from one building to another, Gin darted outward and inward from the ground level buildings and after some time looking for an exit, he decided to rest in a first floor of some store. Taking out some water and food he found Gin decided to eat now rather then later, "Lancelot, guard the area for me!" with a click of his fingers, A man around double Gin's height who wears black armour came from behind him. Giving a silent nod and getting to work immediately made it helpful that Gin he had a small contract with him rather then a servant and master bond.

After chowing on some rice balls and water, Gin stood up and surveyed the ground level until he heard some shouting, it was common for those new here to shout but the words were particular, "Metis?" Gin wondered if some persona started to come out with all the blue light shining around too. "Seems that another point goes to the persona users then eh Lancelot?" With a nudge to his side, Lancelot nodded and proceeded to advance towards the light, Gin following by riding the back of the giant human figure.

After some time just darting from a corner, Lancelot jumps and slams his feet into the crying table at the back, not showing any moment of hesitation Gin also starts the dismount while kicking the other table out of the way. "Eat this!" Gin's pair although sends the two tables to either corners, they are not hurt at all, resisted probably?

The other non-staggered table notices the large disturbance and starts the pursue Lancelot due to his large stature. Gin with a grin speaks out "not in a million years! Magna!" And with a click of his fingers, Lancelot starts to unsheathe his broadsword and plunge it into the ground. Rock pillars pierce the table until it falls down and dies, the process was simple but it wasted alot of stamina made Gin a little annoyed. Noticing the staggered table, proceeding to just smother it with earth until it dies like the previous one.

With now some low amount of stamina, Gin just laughs weakly at the two kiddos in front of him and asked, "need some help? princess?" Lancelot now behind him just nods and walks beside them to protect them from the other two tables where Gin follows suit with a little grin.

"That was...unexpected." Jonathon said as Shion awakened her persona and another user jumped down. "Well, looks like this is a party now." Jonathon said, using the wall to help hold himself up. "Let's get rid of these shadows and get out of here." He tried to summon Seth again but his body was still drained from whatever his shadow had made him do.
"Having trouble keeping up? Shame isn't it? Why don't you just let these two handle it while you run off like you usually would." The shadow said, trying to push his way into Jonathon's mind. He just shook his head and glanced at the other two. He then held out his hand and fired off another garu at the shadows, almost collapsing from the effort that took. He really hated the fact that he drained himself so much with one attack.

❊ STAND YOUR GROUND ❊

Metis... Shion stared in awe at the shining figure in front of her. Her Persona... This came from her... Soul, was it? Her fascination couldn't last long, of course. The tables were still there, and now someone else had joined the fray. Not another Shadow, thankfully, but another Persona user, it seemed.

He looked rather familiar too. Shion watched as he made quick work of the two tables, glancing down at Jonathon once in a while to make sure he was still breathing, until she realized that she saw that face practically every day. "Seimei-san..." She uttered, wondering exactly how many people knew about this not-Kanehira.

Her classmate's presence did give her some relief. Not in the at least she had someone she knew close by when she dies way, but now that there were three of them (or two functioning, one unable to get up and really shouldn't even try anymore), they stood more of a chance than only Shion and an incapacitated Jonathon would have. She didn't even mind the Princess remark. "Seimei-san, I'm very surprised to see you here, but your presence is much appreciated. Your continued help would make us--"

She stopped when another blast of wind sent one of the remaining tables tumbling away a bit. That didn't come from her, or from Gin, so... The young lady glanced down at the older boy, brows furrowed. "Not to damage your pride or anything, and while I really am grateful that you helped me out back there, I think that you should let us help you now." He was clearly at his limits, and Shion didn't want to find out first hand what would happen should he exhaust himself beyond that. "I'll give you an autograph or something later if you want, alright?" She flashed him a brief albeit charming smile, then returned her attention to the tables.

The sooner they finished here, the better. The table that had tumbled away had returned, and cast Fire Boost on the other table, which then did a little dance and sent a wall of fire over to them.

"Metis!" She called out again, moving to stand in front of Jonathon. As before, the Persona stood before her and took most of the impact, while Shion just covered her head and hoped for the best. After the fire wall had passed, Metis raised her wand and pointed it at the table Jonathon had targeted earlier, sending out a quick jet of water.

With a pained sound that wasn't really a groan, the table dissolved into clouds of darkness. But... They weren't done quite yet, were they?

[Gin Seimei]

Gin stood with his fists beside his face, his legs bunkered down to form a dormant spring in case things go either south or north. "Shion, before I ask you about why and how you're here, let me handle this" With steady leverage, Gin's body lowered to that of readying to pounce on the table while it's barely able to get up. He sprints, faster then most of the track meet and without a doubt worthy of being called captain of the boxing club...

Sprinting and finally kicking off the ground, Gin slams his feet while shouting "Magna!" where Lancelot beside Shion cracks the ground with a single step to form a spike of earth under where the shadow was. Utilising both Gin's force (mass x acceleration), he was able to nail the shadow through the ground with a little of Lancelot's help in the process.

"Geez these shadows come out of the woodwork I tell ya..." Gin who strolled back while exercising his shoulder starts to grab nearby chunks of left over shadow. Inspecting it but ultimately throwing it away since there's no reason to study something he cannot understand, with sighing at the situation Shion brought herself and nearly killing herself at that too.

"You were about to die and all that I get is a simple thanks?" Gin ponders at the thought of asking for more but he shouldn't get greedy since it's Shion we're talking about, she has too much pride it'll be hard to get anything in return so I guess a simple thanks is really the best reqard Gin could get, "ah well, it's fine anyway since it's lovely to see your pretty face again" with a shinning smile, Gin said everything seriously. Hoping she doesn't start another fight with some shadows, Gin gestures to the portal as although unstable, Gin can get around Kanehira quite well so it wouldn't matter for him where ever his placed.

Jonathon dragged himself back to his feet and subtly rolled his eyes at Gin's flirtation. "I don't know about you two, but I'm gonna head through that rift. I'd rather not stick around if more shadows show up, and you two seem to be capable of fending for yourself." He turned and started walking to the Rift, stopping before he passed through. "It's good to know some more persona users are out there. The more of us the better." He said before stumbling out of Inverse through the Rift.

As the last table Shadow dissipated into puffs of darkness, Shion dusted herself off and went to pick up the bag she had discarded earlier. She'd definitely have to replace her bag, but her uniform was still alright; maybe just a wash with some powerful detergent to get rid of the singed smell. She gave Gin a sideways glance, not sure if she should be offended that he'd think that she was the kind of person to repay having her life saved with just a halfhearted word of gratitude. Choosing not to be, she shrugged and moved to the rift after Jonathon had left.

"We were about to die earlier; I was in a hurry and all I could manage was a thanks." Shion paused and flashed him a small smile. "So, what do you want as a token of my gratitude?" She asked, not waiting for an answer before stepping through the rift.

She found herself back at the shopping district, in one of the alleys leading to the main road. There were still a lot of people milling around, but thankfully no one seemed to have seen her come out of nowhere... When Gin emerged from the rift, Shion turned to him. "I'd like to talk more about what just happened, if you don't mind. Do you have to go home or to somewhere else right now?" Shion needed to process this, and it was easier if the answers that would pile up were answered, even if it was to find out that no one knew the answers yet.

Lancelot stood solemn as he surveyed the surroundings once more, Gin helped and appreciated the thought of looking around and listening around the two in case more sounds and/or people will drop by but to no avail. Leaving with a shallow sigh Gin took his person through the rift in space, feeling refreshed while picking up the sounds of life around them both, seemed the other man already high-tailed outta here. Not that Gin could ever blame him from what he experienced previously, what was wrong with that man? Seemed he had trouble controlling his persona almost made Gin feared if his bond with Lancelot will become as unstable.

Waving the through out as he shook his head, Gin turned towards the girl beside him and smiled brightly once more, making it seemed that his previous darkened expression didn't even exist. "I don't mind explaining anything, just don't expect that every question will be answered however, even I haven't fully pieced everything together about this all..." Gin looked around the alleyway until turning deeper into the darkness, it would be safer inside rather then outside Gin thought.

"We can move down through this alleyway and reach the open markets, they must be open at this time..." Gin flips his phone out and checks both the date, time as well as recent messages in case someone might of contacted him before, "Yeah, I'm right...so just follow me then" Gin getting to business all the while skipping past trash bags, open pipework and the obvious sculling about under him didn't faze Gin, it was just un-needed worry to those who want to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

"I want to ask, as my reward, you want to train at my dojo for free? I need participants as well as it can be some place we can crash while thinking about that place...oh, and fire away the question since I'm ready" Gin's mouth moved while he suddenly checked his boots, his equipment was fine as with his current strength, Gin was ready for combat any-time, any-place.

Shion followed Gin through the alley, which was a lot easier said than done. There was just so many things to dodge, and Shion had to be careful on where she was stepping on. She wasn't interested in getting dirtier than she already was. It was already a problem of how she was going to come home in this state; how was she going to explain a slightly-burnt school uniform to her grandmother? Chemistry experiment gone wrong?

"Your dojo?" She repeated, tilting her head to one side while considering it. "Why does it sound like my reward rather than yours?" Sure, training would help a lot with Shion's strength, of which there wasn't a lot of. It might even replace her regular weight-maintenance workouts. But learning how to fight especially with this new set of abilities and to do it with someone who also knew of said abilities would be a plus. "Finding time may be difficult, but I think I can do that... Who will I be training under? And what will I be training on?"

She trudged on, hoping that they'll be out of the alley soon. It was good that it was Gin she was with; girls really shouldn't be in places like these, especially with strangers. "So... how long have you known about that place... That ruined Kanehira? And do you know why it's there?" Would Shion see her house if she went to the same location, but in the Inverse? Who would have lived there? So many questions, but not all were meant to be voiced out.

"I hid some spare clothing around the place we're going, I can help sew your uniform if you would like too" Gin noticed her concern with the burns on the uniform, some of the burns just tinged her and it wasn't like her body was exposed in any form or manner. Gin just looked at his classmate from up to down, shrugging in response to her accusation, "Sure, it sounds like it'll be all in your favour..." Gin stopped suddenly and while he turned around, his piercing yet calm eyes latched the gaze of her with a silent ferociousness.

"But it would be better not to suddenly see a murder/missing case with your pretty face as the portrait" Gin was concerned about all of his classmates, hell, even those who were the school gangsters don't deserve to be killed by those freaks of nature. He's just glad he was able to save her in time, though Gin felt like they could of handled the fight themselves... With a little calm sigh, Gin shrugged as his head tilted sideways, peeking a glance at her friend's dominant face made him naturally smile, "You'll be working under me, It might be a little hard to get around but it'll be for your best interest".

Gin started to pounce back into gear with him taking the front of venturing down the twisting alley, his steps in rhythm while saying "Since I've known of the Inverse for around several years, I have been mostly trying to find good spaces for safe zones in and out of the area, even I can't be slacking when it involves real lives" Gin's cheeky attitude came back from the silent dragon-like attitude he presented himself a while ago, people didn't find Gin as unpredictable in school, most were either afraid of his strength or always knew his smiling act was just for banter with the locals.

"Oh yeah, I don't know the exact reason why it's here but after sifting through old newspapers, I can be safe to say that the place was well abandoned when we first ventured into it" Gin even saw news about his family in one, where his birth was taken by one news outlet...but that can be talked about in times to come.

Spare clothes to wear on the way home would be much appreciated, Sure there was that question of how come Gin happened to have spare ladies' clothing lying around, but Shion chose to ignore that. The boy was helping her out, after all. "Oh no, no need to sew my uniform. I'll just get a new set. Thank you for offering." Burn marks weren't really something one can solve with sewing, and it would spare Shion an explanation (read: lie) to her Granny about how it came to be that way. She'll just quietly dispose of her current uniform in some way.

It surprised her when Gin turned towards her with that serious expression, but she returned his concern with a serene smile. "With this city I was thinking that it was just a matter of time before I did, even before today's discovery. But I would rather not have that happen as well. I'll be glad to train with you... Not that I've ever been in the fighting scene, so don't expect that I'll be good at it or anything." No, Shion had been involved with the underground racing circuit back when she was a delinquent. "Don't worry, I have no intentions of slacking off, either, so you can take me along whenever you go back into that place."

Shion was quiet as they continued down the alley, taking in what he said and trying to figure out some things on her own. Old newspapers huh? Might be useful if they can go to the library or government offices. They could find out more there, so they should definitely look into it.

Looking up, she saw that they were almost at the end of the alley. "Do you know who else has that ability... the Persona?" There was that guy Jonathon with the dragon, and Gin with his knight. And her with Metis. There was strength in numbers, and it seemed like all three of them had abilities different from each other. "It's not common knowledge either, is it? I would hate to think that I'm late in finding all of this out."
