This girl seemed to be straight to the point whatsoever, but she didn’t mind the bluntness at all. "My name is Isolde. I am pleased to meet you as well, Samantha.” She would reply back with a kind smile which probably detracted from being a completely stoic person like her own brother, but she did have to remain calm at all times. She had longed to be more ladylike like her own sister, but such jealousy would only breed negative feelings about her own siblings which she never wanted to feel resentment towards them either. However, there would still be feelings of resentment towards her older brother and that she needed to keep them bottled up to herself otherwise it may damage whatever relationship they may have now.
“No need to worry about my mother and father worrying about me so much. Xander has agreed to never tell my parents about it.” It probably wouldn't be a good idea if she told someone that had never been in this world, but her brother would be the only person she could trust with a secret like that. However, secrets like this were meant to be out sooner or later, but she had to keep them in the dark, so they wouldn't know where she had been up to. “Although I…held feelings of resentment towards him for the longest time…” She would slowly close her eyes as if she had to remember all those times she really knew he would be better than her.

Samantha gave a little smile, "Nice to meet you, Isolde!" She greeted, seeming to have decided they were friends or at the very least, comrades. "Mom and dad don't know I'm here either, I just tell them I made a friend, and it's not like I'm lying, Cerburus is my friend." Personally, she hoped they would never discover her true activities, but even she could tell that was wishful thinking. Still, she hadn't even decided how she would explain it once they discovered it. She frowned at Isolde's comment on feeling resentment, "That's fine, I mean, you are a person, right?" “True. I am a person, but sometimes I feel as if Xander is better at everything than me. It really pains me that I still feel this way after all this time.” She would give the girl a sad smile though perhaps she shouldn't have to feel envious of her own brother. This girl would actually make excuses which was a good idea if Samantha didn't want to get caught going to the Inverse World by her lonesome. Isolde knew that her older sister would be worried for her if she would be gone too long, but her brother probably had to make her sister feel much better somehow. Then there was the fact that she felt some sense of betrayal from the man she once called her boyfriend, but she still had an ounce of trust in him even if he harmed her.
She would try to derail this conversation which she simply would have the time to talk about other things besides her current feelings. “When I have feelings of bitterness like this, sometimes I would sing a song to make them go away. In fact, my own mother had taught me a song she would sing when I was young. Would you like to hear it?” She felt better knowing that her mother would always soothe her when she was upset with something.

Samantha grimaced slightly as the conversation turned to upsetting subjects, glad at Isolde's attempt to steer it away.
"Sure, I've never heard too much singing."
One of Cerburus's heads turned toward them, ears perked to pick up the song.

She would nod herself as she began to sting the words that her mother would teach her in her younger days. "You are the ocean’s gray waves…destined to seek life beyond the shore just out of reach… Yet the waters ever change, flowing like time…the path is yours to climb…” Despite the song itself being relatively short, she could already feel the soothing effects which her feelings of resentment would go away for a while. It was likely that Samantha would be close to her parents as well though Samantha’s parents may be different than her own parents respectively. The three-headed dog seemed to be looking out for more Shadows that might attack them while they were talking, so Isolde didn’t have to worry about other Shadows appearing out of nowhere and attacking them while they were having a conversation.
“Did you like it so far? It really soothes the mind the more I sing it.” She would ask Samantha in a happy tone unlike the solemn tome that she had adopted previously. She wondered if her siblings would be looking for her soon, but she would doubt that they would know where the rifts are anyway.

Samantha's eyes widened slightly at the song before she swayed slightly to the song, humming deep in her chest. One of Cerburus's heads tilted his ears towards the song, his body completely still as he took it in. Samantha was almost disappointed when Isolde stopped, taking a moment to realize she had asked her a question, "Yeah, it was great, but I never heard that song before. Did you make it up?" “Not exactly. My mother was the one who taught me this song. She was widely known to have a beautiful singing voice and that was reason my father fell in love with her.” She would explain as she gave a small smile to the girl. It actually seemed like Samantha appreciated any kind of music as long as it had some sort of calming effect. The three-headed dog actually seemed to like the song as well which Cerberus was seen swaying its head to the song and that her mother’s song held a meaning well beyond the normal lives of other people. She could remember the stories that her mother would tell her about her father and how he would treat her mother like a gentleman would. Alas, those were the days when men would never act like they treated women like property or so she would have thought about it.
She would elaborate more on the subject of her family’s folklore if this girl would be curious about this. “It is said that our royal family has been blessed by the divine dragon itself, enabling past princes to become the strongest swordsmen in our kingdom.” Samantha probably wouldn't know what kind of legendary blessings their divine dragon would give, but many people would be curious about it nonetheless.

Samantha's mouth dropped for a second before she slammed it shut, "Really!? How did that start up?" She asked curiously, mind whirling. Before, she wouldn't have believed a second of this, but she had a three-headed dog and fought beasts for fun. How unbelievable could this be? She shot a glance at Nero, "You think Nero is like, a knight of that dragon?" She whipped around toward Cerburus, "These creatures are special, it wouldn't be surprising to think they're divine." “Well…the kings of the past have always been revered as gods for centuries. That is why the king of Nohr is very important for ruling the kingdom with an iron fist and to keep invaders out.” She would explain as the girl wondered if Nero was one of the knights of the dragon. She couldn't really imagine a long dead emperor being a knight anyway, but it probably had some kind of allusion to the legendary King Arthur. Now that Xander was about ready to be coronated as King, their mentally ill father should be resting and not have to take charge of the country for a while if he managed to get help by that time. He really needed help for his condition soon otherwise he may be unfit to rule over the country for now and that the eldest royal was to take his place by then.
She would elaborate further on this conversation, seeing that the girl was particularly interested in probably having her family blessed by a divine being too. “And since my father is mentally ill and unfit to rule any further, that would mean Xander will be blessed by the divine dragon soon and crowned king soon after. Nohrian law states that the eldest child takes the throne in the line of succession though one can also give up the throne for another family member to take their place.” Government wasn’t probably her thing, but this was a law decreed by the country’s past rulers.

The very idea of being blessed by a divine being was stupid, but she couldn't get the idea out of her head. This was the most exciting thing that had ever happened to her, save for actually getting Cerburus. She could only imagine what this world was in relation to Cerburus and Nero, a type of Hell, the shadowy creatures certainly looked like demons. She flinched at the mention of Isolde's father, "Geez, is he going to be all right?" “Yes, he’ll be okay once he gets the help he’ll need for his condition.” She probably didn’t want her father’s condition to worsen though they may have to find a doctor that could help her father out with his current condition. She didn’t want her father to have to suffer from a mental illness though she might become her brother’s advisor if he so wishes for her to do so. When one has to study government in order to become an advisor, they had to know about politics and this was one subject that she’d probably not study for a while since she was still in high school. However, studying subject related to government might just help her become a great advisor for her brother when the time came. Perhaps studying Japan’s government might give her a decent head start in the government thing so far though it’ll come a long way for that to happen.
Since this would not be the time to talk about it for a while, she would have to talk about other things. “Fortunately, my brother wants me to study politics and the government, so I can help pave the way for an era of change in Nohr’s history. Namely, the past Kings had a thirst for war and sought to conquer territories for glory.” Such was the way for this country to change their barbaric ways from the past once and for all since mistakes were always made.

Samantha let herself relax, unaware that she had even been tense, "Well, that does sound...um...educational." She mumbled out, desperately looking for a way to positively put it.
She suddenly chuckled, "It's crazy, I want to get an easy job, something normal. Then we have people like you, definitely going to do something special, can't even believe we can both be in this place but be so different."
What did connect them?
You had a princess here, and a loyal dog, but both had an amazing creature on their side, why?
"How...did you find Nero?" Samantha asked, starting to regret her question as she remembered getting Cerburus. The insults, her own attack, and then Cerburus.

She would lightly chuckle at Samantha’s statement though Samantha would ask where she got Nero from which definitely had an incident happen at the ruined shopping district. “Well…One day I was here and that a dark version of me was taunting me about my feelings of resentment. The next thing I knew, that doppelgänger transformed into a dragon and that another person was able to fight it off. Ultimately, I admitted my true feelings and that when Nero came to me.” She would explain as she remembered that day where she was pretty much forced to admit those feelings of resentment towards her older sibling, but she learned something from it nonetheless. This doppelgänger was nothing more than something evil that was trying to get her to deny those feelings, but she was lucky to even survive the encounter.
Most people had no idea that they had doppelgängers like these, but maybe someone else out there had one too. “Perhaps Nero may be connected to my own family somehow. There may be some Roman roots within our royal ancestry.” She would wonder if the ancient Romans were somehow related to her family, so a bit of research wouldn't hurt a bit.

"R-really!?" Samantha stammered, "Really!? That happened to me too!" She paced frantically, shooting glances to Nero and Cerburus, who shared no similarities. "I-I was pulled in...she said...h-horrible things, but nobody helped me, I stopped trying to hurt her...and there was Cerburus." She shook her head in confusion, "Why'd that happen to us!?" She growled, "Why did Cerburus and Nero come out of that horrible thing!?" Well, that was a really strange coincidence that the two ever had Shadows that they had to contend with. "I believe this happened to us because we have negative feelings that we want to push away. The more that I had tried to deny it, the more that this negative representation of me would go berserk and attempt to kill me.” This strange coincidence was more than enough to figure out that they may have something in common with each other or this doppelgänger thing was really the strangest thing that she had known about. Not only did this doppelgänger attempt to kill her, but she remembered that the young man definitely knew more about this Shadow stuff than she ever did. Since he was possessed by some malevolent entity known as his own Shadow, she couldn't get any answers unless he snapped out of it it somehow.
“These negative feelings may have played a part in creating those dangerous doppelgängers in the first place.” These feelings were not to be taken lightly in this case as it may cause another malevolent being to manifest again. Luckily, it didn't seem like her Shadow self would not come back anytime soon unless she had to doubt herself again.
