It was at that very moment, a masked blob with limbs would appear before them but not before another one of its comrades joined it as well. It seemed like this would be a worthwhile fight considering that Nero would be getting stronger, so she gave the command for Nero to cast her magic. "Nero, let us start with Bufu on the first one.” Nero raised her flaming sword high as a small ice shard seemed to crash down on the masked blob, causing the masked blob to screech and retaliate with a Bash of its own. Isolde could feel the magical energy pulsing through her body as she was waiting for another challenge during her time at the Inverse World. The adrenaline rush was more than enough for her to train harder for the next time that she would meet much stronger Shadows. The Shadow seemed to react like it was weak to the ice element, so she knew now that she should keep exploiting its apparent weakness. Cerburus and Samantha wasted no time, Samantha leaped behind her Persona as he lunged forward, mouth bathed in flames.
The Shadow surged forward, striking him across the face.
Cerburus barely reacted, growl overriding his whimper as he threw a gout of flame over his opponent.
Samantha's eyes were wide in excitement, dancing around the Shadow as she tried to find an opening. A smile split her face as a the Shadow screeched in reaction to the fire, drawing away. That's right, die, monster!

Cerburus uses Agi, he is hit with a Bash.

Cerberus was definitely doing well with the second Shadow and that Nero would be awaiting her praetor’s command once more. "Again, use Bufu.” Nero would raise her flaming sword once more as another small ice shard struck the Shadow and as the Maya screeched in pain, it would retaliate with another Bash attack. The Maya itself was getting weakened as it waited for its death sentence and that Isolde would waste no time in finishing the Maya off with another command. "Let’s finish it off with another Bufu.” The red clad empress casted another small ice shard that would crash down on the Maya and the Maya would slump over as it dissipated into black smoke. There was another Maya that Samantha was taking care of though she had a feeling that it would have a different weakness than the first one had and plus, she would be running out of stamina soon. Isolde could feel her stamina draining away which was something caused by casting her spells for a while. Samantha circled around the Shadow while Cerburus stomped closer, their enemy clearly unsure who to attack.
They made the decision for it, Cerburus slamming it with a great paw, whimpering slightly as he received a blow back, before spewing flames over it.
Nothing was left of it, only scorched areas where it had been, done!
Samantha whooped in a small voice, that was great! She dully noted Isolde had finished already and walked over, "You okay?"

Cerburus is hit with Bash but kills his enemy with Bash and Agi.

After the second one was fortunately defeated by Cerberus himself, Samantha would ask if she was okay. "Yes, I am okay, but I feel a bit exhausted. I just need a bit of rest, that is all.” Isolde would smile as Nero would lower her sword while she went on the lookout for any Shadows that would be able to ambush them while Isolde’s guard was lowered. The Inverse World definitely had some Shadows that would be happy to ambush them while their guard was down though Cerberus’s protection was something that she would be grateful for. Deep down, she wished she could do something to help her mentally ill father, but perhaps she would be able to find a cure in due time. To end his suffering from his mental illness would be better for the people involved in their family though she had to seek help somehow. “I should take a moment to rest and perhaps soothe my worries.” She would add as she slowly closed her eyes once more while her worries began to swirl around her mind. She was tired? Come to think of it, Samantha's head was starting to feel weird.
She couldn't shake it off and eventually sat right where she stood, blinking blearingly while Cerburus curled around her, providing a warm and protective wall of fur.
Samantha laid her head on her knees and closed her eyes, leaning on Cerburus's shoulder. She just had to rest a little, she'd be fine.

While Samantha would be resting with Cerberus, she would have opted to take a nap, but she didn’t really feel like it at that moment. At that moment, she felt like singing would make her troubles go away as it always have been and that she did remember the rest of the lyrics for that particular song. She would sing quietly as Nero silently watched over the two like they were under her own protection for most of the time. "You are the ocean’s gray waves… Destined to seek life beyond the shore just out of reach… Yet the waters ever change, flowing like time…the path is yours to climb.” As Isolde sung quietly, the red clad empress would listen more as if she probably understood what the lyrics even meant. Since anyone would be legitimately upset that this song had more to it than just those lyrics alone, she decided to add the rest of it in a continuation of her quiet singing. “In the white light, one hand reaches through… A double-edged blade cuts your heart in two, waking dreams fade away… Embrace the brand new day…” She continued as the red clad empress would silently listen to her praetor’s singing while her eyes were closed for a moment. “Sing with me a song of birthrights and love, the light scatters to the sky above… Dawn breaks through the gloom, white as a bone… Lost in thoughts all alone…” After that, she would finish but not before looking over at Nero and smiling at her. tag: Samantha Lobo ▪ words: 252 ▪ ooc: None.

Samantha didn't think she was paying attention to anything, but she heard it. The song.
She felt Cerburus shift to better listen, even though he seemed to like it, his tails didn't wag, he simply stared and listened.
Finally, it stopped, surprisingly disappointing. Samantha let a sigh escape as she pushed herself to her feet, "Isn't there more?" She asked quietly, feeling as if Isolde ended the song prematurely, how'd she know that!?

Incidentally, Samantha wanted to hear more of it, seeing that she didn't like it if the song ended prematurely. "There is more to it, yes.” She would begin singing again this time as to not leave them on much of a cliffhanger any longer. "Life is just not filled with happiness nor sorrow… Even the thorn in your heart, in time it may become a rose... Sing with me a song of silence and blood… The rain falls, but can’t wash away the mud… Within my ancient heart dwells madness and pride… Can no one hear my cry…” She would finish, but not before going with her intention to keep the song going to captivate the audience. She didn’t really want to leave them on an unfinished note after all. The three-headed dog seemed to like it, but his tail wasn’t wagging this time like he would be excited to hear more parts of the song itself. “Sing with me a song of conquest and fate, the black pillar cracks beneath its weight… Night breaks through the day, hard as a stone… Lost in thoughts in all alone…” She continued as Nero just silently listened to the music. Strangly, no Shadows were attracted to the song, as if only they were here.
When it finally finished, Samantha let a smile crossed her face, "That was nice." She mumbled, "What did you think, Ceb?"
He simply wagged his tail a few times and panted, "See? He liked it."
She stretched out, "Welp, I'm done resting, what about you?"

It seemed like the three-headed dog really liked hearing the song and that she could agree with that if mythological figures like him really appreciate music. "I am done resting for now.” The Shadows in this world never attacked them once she sung that song, but perhaps they weren't trying to attack them when a song was in progress anyway. Shadows like those black blobs didn’t really appreciate music for what it was worth and that animals would likely appreciate it far more than them. Nero would have to keep watch and make sure that no strong Shadows would attack them while they were doing their training regimen which was one of the tasks that Isolde could have her really count on. While this world was a bit dreary in comparison to the real world, she didn’t mind the darkness a bit since she always appreciated the beauty that darkness would bring. “Well actually, my actual retainers cannot come into this world since they do not possess a Persona. The least I can do is tell you their names. My first retainer is named Alfred and he’s the butler of our family though he directly serves under me. The second one is a man that came from a long line of samurai and his name is Tsubaki. He may have red hair that does not fit in with the typical Japanese hair color, but his loyalty is very well appreciated.” Nero would have been considered one, but the empress was not merely alive anymore to even be considered a protector of sorts. Samantha nodded briskly, stretching upward and outward as she loosened out her muscles for more training.
She tilted her head as she listened to Idolde's description of her servants, "They sound nice, too bad they don't got a Persona." Inwardly, she was wondering if they could earn a Persona if they brought them into this world.
"Yeah, nobody I know can summon a Persona, except for you of course."

Of course having a Persona would be easier for them to enter this world and that they would have a difficult time adjusting to it due to having no knowledge about how Persona work in this world. "That is true. They would have to adjust to having a Persona once they step into this world, but it’s very unlikely they would survive without my help.” Besides that, they probably had a hard time working together at this rate since Alfred was always callous towards his colleague though Tsubaki had attempted to make amends with him. Nero seemed to be extremely wary when it came to guarding her praetor from anyone that dared tried to look at Isolde funny though oddly, the atmosphere seemed to be quiet. “When we get out of this world, I have a feeling Tsubaki himself would be looking around for me. He’s always the most protective when I’ve gone somewhere.” She would comment on the situation though it would be likely that he would probably fall through some rift and come here on his own terms. Samantha let herself smile, "Well, that's good, you got people who care for you." She didn't go any further, her parents wouldn't be looking for ger, but that's just because they thought she was somewhere safe. If they only knew.
"So," She breached a idea carefully, "Your siblings, do they worry?" She almost regretted asking this, but curiosity overrided her fear.

She would smile as Samantha told her that she at least had people that cared for her greatly, considering that her own parents would worry more about her if she went somewhere without telling them most of the time. Even her own retainers had to worry more about where their liege had gone instead of the household being attacked by some kind of giant dragon from nowhere which it had happened while she was unconscious. She was asked if her siblings worry more about her when she actually do these kinds of excursions and that the two elder siblings were kept very much in the dark regarding Personas. Even so, she probably had told a bit about having some sort of Shadow problem to Xander no less, but she wasn't sure if he understood any of it. “They do worry over me, especially since Xander has been worried about me ever since I’ve gone into this world for my training.” And of course, Camilla always had to worry about her little sister going somewhere without telling her which her older sister’s motherly intuition always assumed that she was off training somewhere without her knowledge. tag: Samantha Lobo ▪ words: 252 ▪ ooc: None.
