This was new.
Samantha peered curiously inside the shrine, sword pushed forward, "Hello?" She called uncertaintly. As usual, nothing.
Cerburus's heads pushed their way past her, nose all twitching. He seemed satisfied with whatever he smelled, stepping inside with tails wagging.
Samantha followed carefully, one hand patting Cerburus's shoulder reassuringly and the other clutching the sword nervously as they ventured into the darkness.
Every single time they ventured further into this strange world, they found new things, strange things she didn't dare tell anybody save for Cerburus.
Besides, nobody ever asked where she disappeared to after school, and she liked it this way. No stupid idiots telling somebody and nobody telling her to not visit Cerburus.
No trust in the outside world, and she never found anyone in this place, what a predicament.
At least, till today.

It felt necessary that she would visit the Inverse World after having been literally stabbed in yet back by Jonathon’s Shadow, but nonetheless she still placed her trust in him even after he had harmed her in such a way. She had to find a way to get him to come to his senses, but there would be no way to do it unless she finds something important regarding his Shadow. Her Persona would be looking out for any Shadows that might come their way and that Nero would make sure that her protectorate would never be harmed by anything alone. "Praetor, I do sense someone near the demolished shrine. As your retainer, I urge you to be careful at all times as it could be an enemy.” And there Nero goes again with her self-proclamation about being her retainer though having another one would be quite effective.
As they approached the demolished shrine together, there actually seemed to be a girl and some three-headed dog which she hadn't even seen before. “What are you doing here? This world is dangerous, you could get seriously injured if Shadows were to come here...” Meanwhile, the red clad empress had to make sure that nothing would ambush them though Nero wasn’t sure if there were enemies that would be able to ambush them at any time.

Samantha nearly jumped at somebody's voice, turning warily toward it. Cerburus quickly placed himself in between the possible danger and Samantha, mouths open in a snarl and an ominous red glow emanating from his eyes. Samantha peered under Cerburus and caught sight of something she hadn't been expecting, a person! "No, no, no, whoa, stop Ceb!" She shouted, getting in between the girl and the fire Cerburus was probably going to spit, "She's fine, she's a person." Cerburus's mouths clicked closed and he tilted his heads curiously toward the girl, having never met another human. Crisis avoided, Samantha turned and studied the girl, she looked nice and she seemed worried if she was telling them it was dangerous. Samantha waved to her, "It's fine, I got Cerburus here!" She started toward the girl, "I've been going deeper everyday and nothing bad happened. How about you? Do you have anything to protect you?" The three-headed dog seemed to not like her presence until they girl talked with it like she wasn’t an enemy of some sort. When the girl asked Isolde if she had something to protect her, she would nod slightly as she spoke. "Yes, I do have Nero as my retainer.” The empress said nothing but to study the large three-headed dog that was just studying the unfamiliar human known as her charge. Still, they would have to be careful that the other girl wouldn't be meeting any of the stronger Shadows here as those Shadows were very dangerous to normal humans. It seemed like Cerberus would be guarding this girl, but there was no telling whether stronger Shadows would ambush them out of nowhere. The demolished shrine itself would perhaps be a place to start with trying to investigate what happened to the missing people as well as to try finding Shadow Jonathon again.
It also seemed like Shadow Jonathon would be roaming this world which he would likely try to finish what he started though it looked like she wouldn't be in any real danger as of right now. “If you simply don’t know what a retainer does, all members of the Nohrian royal family have the services of their retainers. It is for their utmost protection after all.” Somehow, explaining this to a complete stranger would probably warrant utter curiosity from this girl.

Retainer? This "Nero" was this girl's retainer? "So, you're royalty?" Samantha asked casually, "Then what're you doing in here? I don't think royalty belongs in here." She didn't seem to realize how rude this could sound, but she looked genuinely curious, "I mean, you just said this place was dangerous." Cerburus, meanwhile, was staring at Nero. Suddenly he stood and lowered his front self, a greeting bow. He waited, seemingly wanting Nero to return the favor. personatlg.proboards.com/user/4 |

Nero seemed to bow herself as she lowered her head at the three-headed dog with the utmost respect. The girl would be curious as to why Isolde was there when she could be out of harm’s way of that moment. "Indeed, I am the youngest member of the royal family. My older brother and sister are the eldest members of the royal family respectively.” In a way, she could have expected surprise, but she didn’t mind the casual tone that came along with the conversation. Though this girl would be wondering why someone of her stature would come to this world when it had dangerous Shadowd roaming about and on top of that, someone would be trying to kill her no doubt.
“My royal heritage will not stop me from exploring this place however. My ancestors were known to have a thirst for battle which my homeland has always been known as a glory-seeking country.” Even the female members might have been one to lead troops into battle, but she wouldn't know unless her own father would tell her about it.

Cerburus's mouths split open in almost a smile, he was going to like this Nero! "Cool." Samantha nodded, staring past the girl, "You said you're from a Fighting family, right?" A nervous smile crossed her face, "'Cause we have company." Two hands floated steadily closer, making no sound as they drew closer. Samantha held out her weapon, "Hey, Ceb!" She barked, "Happy you got a new friend, but time to have some fun!" He responded instantly, letting out a guttural roar and stomping toward the enemies, swinging his head wildly. Both hands responded by conjuring up flames and vollying them toward both Personas. Enemies: Two Magic Hands, both using Agi. Cerburus uses Bash on one hand. personatlg.proboards.com/user/4 |

All of a sudden, two hand-like Shadows began making their way towards them with both of them casting Agi on the two girls. Isolde could feel the spell burning her though she had to stay strong if she wanted to get stronger for the benefit of her family. "Nero, let’s start with Bufu.” The red clad empress would comply as she raised her flaming sword and casted a small ice shard that would crash down on one of the hand-like Shadows. Cerberus seemed to be doing fine as well which the dog seemed to be one of those types that preferred power over magic. Though trying to fight something that had fire as one of her weaknesses was not a good idea as she needed to tread carefully if they wanted to defeat both of the hands.
“Are you okay? If you get hurt, let me know and I’ll soothe your wounds.” She would add though her healing spell was effective for minor wounds only. She had a desire to protect her family and that she had to do everything she can to keep them safe.

One of the hands let out an unholy screech, scrabbling on the ground in a horrible manner before springing up into the air, almost glaring as it snapped flames into existence toward Nero. Cerburus was clearly having the time of his life, shaking off the flames before fire built in his middle mouth. He only shot a simple fireball at the hand, but it was still impressive. The hand responded by surging foward, fist clenched to strike Cerburus. Samantha nodded quickly, "Great, great, good!" She babbled, "Keep Cerburus fighting, he got this!" One Magic Hand uses Agi again, the other Strikes Cerburus. Cerburus uses Agi on the Striking Hand. personatlg.proboards.com/user/4 |

The magic hand would send another ball of flame towards Nero and Isolde could feel a seating burning pain again which she had to heal herself for a little bit. The red clad empress would raise her flaming sword again as she knew that her praetor would be in need of healing though the magic hands would probably use the same Agi spell in which case, Isolde would have to be on the offensive again. As a green healing light engulfed her, she could feel the searing pain go away as the battle was just beginning to unfold. The three-headed dog was doing okay with most of the fighting and that she probably leave the rest of the fighting to the dog if stopping to heal her injuries was enough. The Agi spell that the hands casted would pretty much lead to trouble if she didn’t defeat them soon enough.
Despite having trouble with fire spells apparently, Nero would do okay if they had spells that didn’t exploit weaknesses every five seconds. “Those fire spells are indeed troublesome… We must be careful, Nero.” The red clad empress would nod at her praetor’s words as she would ready her sword for the next turn that they would go on the offensive.

It looked like Nero didn't do well against fire, too bad. Unlike her, Cerburus soaked up the flames and although it scorched his fur, the sensation flowing through Samantha, it didn't hurt him too much. He yelped as one hand struck him, baring his fangs as if to bite it. "No, Ceb!" Samantha called, waving her sword to Nero as she shook off the dizziness of the hit, "Help her out, you're good against fire!" Cerburus nodded and took a leap out of the other hand's range, charging toward Nero's enemy with his head low. The hands seemed to realize Cerburus was good against fire and Nero wasn't, one trying to throw more flames at her, the other shooting from across the ruins toward Cerburus's exposed side. One hand tries to use Agi again, but Cerburus is using Bash on it, possibly interrupting it. The other hand uses Strike on the distracted Cerburus. personatlg.proboards.com/user/4 |

The striking hand seemed to change tactics as it attempted to bash against the three-headed dog which this hand would have to be intercepted before it could do any damage. "Let us use Bufu on that striking hand.” The red clad empress would cast a spell where a small ice shard struck the striking hand, intercepting the hand’s attempted attack before it can hit the exposed side of the three-headed dog. Teamwork would be necessary if they wanted to defeat both of the hand-like Shadows together though it seemed like the three-headed dog would keep intercepting the magic hand, so the hand itself could not do any damage to the red clad empress and Nero would be grateful for Cerberus’s aid. The hand-like Shadows were definitely smart enough to realize that trying to exploit weaknesses probably wasn’t the best option.
As long as Nero was there as her protector, she didn’t have to worry about being hit by the magic hand’s fire attacks or the striking hand’s attacks though they still have be on their guard in case other Shadows would come into play. It certainly seemed like this would attract more attention since both of the girls were starting out.

Samantha waved her hand toward the hands, "Come on, finish them off!" She shouted eagerly, eyes slightly wild. Cerburus answered her call, rearing up and forcing himself down, intent on crushing a hand beneath his bulk. Samantha was confident that Cerburus's back was covered by Nero, as the hand had gotten desperate and swung itself in a slapping motion toward Nero, not realizing its mistake against the sword wielding Persona. Samantha bounced impatiently, a strange fear was building in her chest. They had to win, now! Cerburus uses Bash on one hand, destroying it. The striking hand grew desperate as it used Bash against Nero, but sadly it couldn't be more pathetic than its magical counterpart anyway. Isolde would sigh as she gave the command for Nero to finish off the striking hand with another magical attack. "What a pathetic attack you have done. Finish it off, Nero.” The red clad empress did what she was told and casted another small ice shard that managed to finish off the weakened striking hand once and for all. Despite the small amount of stamina that the spell required, she felt a bit tired though trying to investigate was probably the utmost priority right now. With that battle out of the way, they can safely talk without something interrupting them unless more Shadows would be willing to kill them again.
“Excellent work, Nero. I am proud to have your services be of the utmost importance in keeping me safe from harm.” She would praise the empress though she wasn’t sure if the empress would indeed take this as a sign of being a glory hog or something. She could feel her powers getting stronger though it would be a little bit stronger since it was just one Shadow being defeated.

Surprisingly, Samantha felt great, her heart pounding in excitement. She felt light as a feather and was practically exploding with energy. Cerburus seemed to share her sentiments, tails hitting the ground like some great drill as he sat to catch his breath. "Great job, Ceb!" Samantha praised, smile forming on her face as Cerburus's mouth turned up in their corners, "Keep a look out, make sure nothing gets near us." She laid out the order, satisfied as his heads swiveled cautiously. Samantha headed over to the Nohrian princess, finally having time to see what this girl looked like. Even in the dim light, Samantha could see she was pretty. Her kind face possessed kind green eyes and her hair looked like some sort of blonde river, her clothing looked neat and she stood with a far better posture than Samantha. Yep, she certainly looked like royalty. In contrast, Samantha looked like she belonged in this world. She slouched over and stood at a tense stance, as if ready for something to happen, her eyes were a dark brown that almost looked black in the lighting. She was even wearing all black for this occasion, to better visit Cerburus. Practically the only neat part on her was her tied back hair, providing a strange split between her bedraggled self, and her neat self. Ignoring this, she offered a hand, "Hello, I'm Samantha."
